This week I had the opportunity to interview the amazing Maegan Swabb. Having been in the industry for nine years she has truly grasped what it means to be an interior designer. Everything from building a trusting relationship with the clients to being honest in her style. Maegan sees the importance in making a beneficial change for her clients through her work. She often notices they become excited about fulfilling their lives with more gatherings and new relationships, wanting to show off their newly designed home. When you see her work you will truly be inspired. She has such a natural talent for design and an eye for style. Amazingly, Maegan is self taught. She began working in the fashion industry for Georgio Armani, interior design later found her when she was given the opportunity to work at a high end home furnishing store. There, she worked alongside some of the most influential designers in SoCal and Vegas. She was later asked to begin her first design job, and now has a team of four women - all of whom constantly inspire and motivate her to not only work harder, but to become a better designer. At M. Swabb Decor + Style the design is simple, cool. An american eclectic approach, one that is unexpected and uncontrived. They are known for creating brilliant and original ideas. They love working with shades of gray and anything with texture and juxtaposition.
When Maegan enters a space, she automatically peels back the layers and envisions it complete. Every detail and piece has an important role in creating the decor as a whole. Her strengths lie in her ability to see the full potential in a space, something I find is cherished in the design world.
