This week for the blog I talked to the wonderful Debra Borden. Debra began her career long before she graduated from University of Arizona, majoring in Home Economics in the school of Interior Design. When she was young she was constantly starting new DIY projects with her parents, and remodeling her own home. She has now been a chic, sought after designer for over 35 years. Debra has always had a knack for color, as a designer your pallet is always changing, but right now she is enjoying using jewel tones and bright colors in her designs.
Whether she is working on a home, a business, or an apartment club house, Debra enjoys being hands on with her work. When she orders new furniture or decor, she has it delivered to her office, she unwraps it, inspects it, and hangs it or places it in the space herself. She takes pleasure in being a part of the decorating process and finds it important to have a role in everything from shopping and picking out each individual accessory to transporting them to the clients home.
She has accomplished so much, and has recently been placed on the Best of Houzz list for the third year in a row. An honor well deserved!
