This week for the blog I got the pleasure of working with Brooke Wagner. Since starting her company Brooke Wagner Design in 2003, her designs and talents have been continuously praised and honored. She is a designer that deserves recognition and quite frankly, an applause. In just the past four years she has been on the cover of LUXE magazine, House of Turquoise, Coast magazine, and the OC Register, as well as being named on the Best of Houzz list 2014 and 2015 for design.
Brooke Wagner Design is based in Corona Del Mar which has given her the opportunity to work with predominantly beach homes. As a result, Brooke can’t help but be inspired by the coast and therefore, works mostly with blues, whites, and grays which give her the means to design with patterns. This is what brings her to Everything Interior this week! She has designed everything from full patterned rooms to adding just the right touch to make a room pop. To create the right tone for patterns to work as an element and not a disadvantage, Brooke uses a lot of light linens and stripes as well (the combination of coastal inspiration, colors, and textures that Brooke Wagner Design uses has been coined by them as “Coastal Transitional,” a style they created and currently use).
Brooke does an incredible job making a space not only elegant, but comfortable and family friendly, which is something that is so important to keep in mind when creating a space and environment. A house can be tailored and artistically styled, but it is not a home until it is somewhere you can kick your feet up and relax - and Brooke combines the two seamlessly in a style all designers strive to emulate.
